Alternative Las Vegas: Trump International

Do you remember the first time you took a flight alone? Do you remember feeling all grown up? Trump Las Vegas makes you feel grown up. As if you have arrived. The moment you drive up you get a feel for the customer service. I love to feel important and while I really enjoy the spacious rooms I am more impressed by the customer service. Trump Las Vegas is the spot where you are close enough to all of the Vegas action to have fun but removed from it enough to also relax. There is no casino and that is what makes it special.

Sleep. You really need a sub zero refrigerator in the room if only to keep your water cold. The one bedroom suite is set up like your own personal apartment with a view of the Las Vegas strip, a huge bathroom and a full kitchen for warming up those leftovers from your incredible dinner. The furnishings will make you drool and compel you to spend a little more time in the room. If you are looking to get away this room will help you forget and motivate you to slow it down.

Relax. The spa is quaint while delivering on treatments but the jewel is the pool. You don’t need the party atmosphere of the strip pools, you need the relaxing atmosphere that you get from a luxury hotel. Day beds that cradle you while you read a good book and a food and cocktail menu that motivates you to embrace the do nothing attitude that is necessary while on vacation. You could rent a cabana but there really is no need as a spot right next to the water is far better.

Eat. Maybe the only drawback to this hotel is the lack of dining choices. Yes, you can walk downstairs and have a meal in the restaurant or sit by the pool and have a snack but Las Vegas has a dining scene that has to be sampled. No worries, you are within a ten minute walk to some of the very best restaurants on the Las Vegas strip. Your options at Wynn, Encore at Wynn, The Palazzo and even the Fashion Show Mall will satisfy your need for Las Vegas foodie experience.

Experience. I’ll often tell people that this hotel is one of the best hotels in Las Vegas when traveling with kids. If you want to take advantage of the shows, attractions and things to do not only in Las Vegas but also the general vicinity this is where you might seriously consider taking the family. There is no giant slide at the pool but there are also no college co-oeds dancing from a pole. The rooms are huge and you can opt for a meal inside your suite. You don’t walk through a casino each time you head back into your room and the smell of cigarette smoke is non existent.
