Beatles Love Still Amazes at The Mirage

It’s one of the most magisterial and talked about shows when it comes to Las Vegas entertainment. Coming up on its eighth year from its initial debut in June 2006, the Beatles Love show has remained a favorite among visitors and locals alike for years. It’s not common that anything lasts eight years in Vegas without fizzling to certain implosion, but this show maintains a consistently filled theatre whether there’s an influx of visitors to Vegas or not.

Combining the brilliant power of Cirque du Soleil’s stunning acrobatic performers and the pure greatness of the legendary Beatles’ music, Love is a visually explosive, awe-inspiring and at times tear-invoking demonstration of emotion and artistry.

The theatre, where the show is housed at The Mirage, was the former venue for Siegfried and Roy as well as their lions and tigers. The show offers seating in 360-degrees around the stage. However, of the 2,000 seats, there isn’t a bad seat in the house with the show encompassing every aspect of the theatre from above, below, behind and in front of you.

Bringing to life the best of The Beatles’ music, the theatre incorporates more than 6,000 speakers playing musical masterpieces like “Help,” “Something,” “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “Let it Be,” “Hey Jude,” “Across The Universe,” and many more. Each song parallels a vignette story that is threaded throughout the entirety of the performance.

While it’s hard to actually pinpoint specific exceptional highlights of the show because the entire experience can be scoped as mind-blowing, noteworthy moments include a fiery-haired female floating through the air. Lady Madonna and her lover, The Sugar Plum Fairy, do a vibrant dance surrounded by children who later break into dance. High-flying trampolinists bounce around and roller-skating acrobatics fly through the air. There isn’t a dull moment in the show with each twist and turn captivating your heart and soul.
