Chowhound: Hank’s Fine Steaks at Green Valley Ranch

Where do you get a good steak in this town? Well your options spread far and wide, but if you’ve decided to stay off the Strip, you’ll definitely want to make Hank’s Fine Steaks at Green Valley Ranch your nosh spot if you’re out for a snazzy evening.

If you’re a foodie, you’ll find nothing but sheer delight in the menu. Expect to find things like Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, Lobster Chowder and Roasted Shiitakes gracing the menu. But while those items are talk-about-it-for-the-next-two-weeks-delicious, it’s the steaks (paired with a martini) that’ll make you swoon. Think Petit Filet Mignon (from Greater Omaha), Niman Ranch Dry Aged Prime Rib, Chateaubraind for two, Lamb Chops. Everything is cooked to perfection and made to be complemented in the most decadent of fashions with goods like Seared Foie Gras, Gorgonzola Crust, Supreme Oscar Style or Au Poivre Style. Now say you’re dining with one of those non-steak eaters don’t worry. They’ll still have a fine meal. Veal Chops, Dover Sole, a Lobster Tail, they’ll be just fine.

And no steakhouse is a real steakhouse unless the decor is as outstanding as its fare. Hank’s is up to par with a sexy mid-century style the features baby blue booths and rich wood paneling throughout, white tablecloths and luscious chandeliers. Sound fancy? Now order up a dirty martini and put on your Sinatra face.
