Dining in the Dark? Las Vegas' New Culinary Treat

Do you love the thrill of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations gastronomic adventures? Are you exhilarated by the thought of a full-sensory culinary experience? Then look no further because Vegas is bringing you the best of both worlds, in a sense, with dark dining.

Not sure what dark dining is exactly? It’s when you consume your meal blind folded to fully embrace the aroma, taste and texture of a meal. The Eclipse Dark Dining Experience works by first introducing you to dinner guests before you are seated and blindfolded. The lights are then dimmed and the first course of your prix fixe meal is served.

The whole experience lasts approximately two hours and is set to music that adds to the mood of the meal. There are commonly three courses accompanied by wine and cocktails.

The chefs creatively prepare each dish in a manner to excite your taste buds and enliven the flavors with each morsel.  You won’t know what you’re eating until the meal is over when pictures are shown to you of what you’ve consumed. Every main entrée is based on one of the standard meat proteins including seafood, beef, pork, lamb or chicken.  Gluten-free and vegetarian requests are also observed or if you have food allergies, you can let the chefs know at the time of booking for them to accommodate your needs.

Previous meals have included filet of beef with  herb mousse, compressed pulled pork with roasted garlic mash accompanied by drunken cherries , and Fireball whiskey infused bread pudding,

You can enjoy The Eclipse Dark Dining Experience by booking here at Artisan Hotel Boutique or Rumor Hotel.
