Downtown's Backyard Just Got A Little More Interesting With Bier Garten

Oktoberfest just took up permanent residence in Downtown Las Vegas with the grand opening of Bier Garten, an indoor-outdoor eatery highlighting German-influenced cuisine and craft beers.

Located in front of the Plaza Hotel & Casino on the corner of Main and Fremont Streets, Bier Garten not only features a swanky and fresh interior dining space, but it also boasts a 3,000-square-foot outdoor dining area. With picnic tables imported from a 1980’s Munich Oktoberfest, fresh grass, and gorgeous vine-covered trellis, the ambiance is reminiscent of a Bavarian beer garden.

Nosh on some delectable bratwursts while you drink one of the 24 specialty beers on draft, including the New Belgium Brewing Coconut Curry Hefeweizen, Brooklyn Brewery Brown Ale or the Hoegaarden, to name a few. You can order one of the signature wursts like The Golden Slipper, which is Andouille sausage on either a potato or pretzel bun topped with bacon, cream cheese and a fried egg.

For the vegetarians in the house you can order a tofurkey sausage with The Naked City that comes compete with fresh onion, sweet peppers, kosher relish, sweet mustard and, to top it off, sriracha ketchup. Or make your own wurst and choose from toppings like roasted jalapeños, Cheese Whiz, Cajun blue cheese crumbles and many more.

Bier Garten opened just in time for summer luring patrons in for a cold drink and a Las Vegas twist on German deliciousness.

Remember, eat, be merry and noch ein bier bitte!

(German translation noch ein bier bitte = another beer please)
