Fashionista Fatale: Color - A Salon by Michael Boychuck at Caesars

Michael Boychuck looks like a rock star. You might think you would run into him at a biker bar like Hogs & Heifers or taking in small concerts at dive bars. But his true identity is as the colorist to the stars and calls Color — A Salon by Michael Boychuck at Caesars Palace his home.

He’s known for making blondes even blonder, counting Mandy Moore, Jennie Garth and the Hilton sisters among his regular clientele. His creations have donned the cover of Maxim magazine as well as on TV shows ranging from “Melrose Place” to “Baywatch.”

Color isn’t exactly the word that comes to mind when you see the inside of this high-end salon. Bathed in alabaster and eggshell with black-and-white photos of Boychuck’s famous clients bedecking the walls, the 5,000-square-foot salon boasts crystal chandeliers, vintage Fendi fixtures and carved mirrors. Hollywood-based designer Faye Resnick created the concept, which recently was named one of the most beautiful salons in the country by EsteticaDesign’s Whitebook.

Aside from hair coloring and highlights, relaxing treatments and HairDreams extensions, you can use the in-house hair florist to accent your ’do with fresh flowers, make your eyelashes flutter with extensions, get a customized makeup application or make use of the personalized shopping service in addition to waxing services and manicures and pedicures.

Boychuck works in the salon four days a week, splitting his time with his two other locales, Amp at Palms and Primp at Palms Place.
