Get Crazy in Vegas With An Epic Skydive Adventure

Whether you’ve been to Vegas a handful of times before or it’s your first visit, you want to make it memorable and different. There’s nothing better than going home to friends and family with stories you can actually share from your Sin City adventure. If you’re ready to take the plunge and jump out of a plane or you just want to experience that sensation on a smaller level, Vegas offers different ways to skydive. Check out the list of adrenaline-pumping activities that will get your heart thumping.

SlotzillaSlotZilla Zip Line
You’ll ascend a 77-foot-tall ‘slot machine,’ pull on your harness and step off the platform where you glide 850 feet over people partying below you. You’ll fly passed restaurants and bars under the world’s biggest video canopy, until your feet safely greet the platform on the other side. It’s known as the Slotzilla Zip Line in Downtown Las Vegas. It’s a great way to work up to the skydiving plunge. It’s also the least expensive ‘skydive’-related option on our list.

Okay, you’ve mastered the SlotZilla, now it’s time to get a little higher and a little bolder with the VooDoo Zip Line ride. For this you’ll head to the rooftop of the Rio Hotel & Casino tower. You’ll strap in for a semi-lateral ride from one rooftop tower to the other. At 490 feet, you’ll fly through the air and be amazed at the breathtaking views and peaceful tranquility you’ll feel at 33 miles per hour.

SkyjumpSkyJump
Stepping up the ante a little bit more than Slotzilla & VooDoo Zip Line experiences, is the SkyJump at the Stratosphere. Here, you will head to the 108th floor – that’s 855 feet above Las Vegas – where you strap into your superhero-like jump suit. You’ll be guided to the jumping platform that allows you to gaze out over the Las Vegas valley just before you leap into the air for a 44-mile-per-hour free fall to the bottom. In addition to receiving an image of you free falling, you can even upgrade your package to include a wristcam to help you fully capture your experience.

indoorIndoor Skydiving

While you may be thinking, indoor skydiving is a walk in the park, you’ll want to think again. Although you’re not jumping out of a plane, you’re still getting the same sensation as you would if you were 12,000 feet in the air at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. You’ll start your adventure with safety courses to ensure that once you leap onto the massive wind tunnel, you’re having fun and totally safe. This unique experience will have you feeling weightless as you flip and twist in a simulated free fall.

It’s time for the mother of all adrenaline rushes. Leaping from an airplane at 15,000 feet is truly the thrilling experience you’ve been looking for. After arriving at Skydive Las Vegas, you’ll go through safety training with well-educated and friendly instructors. Once you’ve completed your training and suited up, you’ll head to the plane where the real fun begins. When it’s time to take the leap, the doors will open to unparalleled views of the Strip, Las Vegas Valley, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. You will free fall for 45 seconds before pulling the shoot and gliding down in a 5-minute ride.
