Get Outside and Enjoy The Gorgeous Landscape of Las Vegas Area

It’s the perfect time of year in Vegas, where the weather is just right for getting outdoors to appreciate the stunning landscape that envelops the Las Vegas Valley. There are several ways to enjoy your time outside and we’ve outlined three of the best plus we’ve provided an amped up version of each tour to really add a Las Vegas-flare to things.

Red Rock Canyon
Heading to Red Rock Canyon, a Nevada National Conservation Area, is where breathtaking views of extraordinary geologic structures can be discovered. Enjoy a 13-mile drive through the canyon and capture images of wildlife like the free-roaming burros, wild horse herds, or desert vegetation. The road through the Red Rock Canyon is wide, allowing ample room for bicyclists and joggers. There are also a number of pull offs, which are great starting points for hiking, horseback riding, and general exploration of the land.

Amp it Up: Red Rock Canyon Scooter Car Tour
Whether you have or haven’t explored Red Rock Canyon before, you can jump start your tour of the canyon in a two-person, open-air scooter car providing you with close-up views of the scenery. You’ll get to zip around in these pint-sized rides, which are sure to bring a smile and a giggle to your face. The tour includes a stop at the Visitor’s Center and, if you so choose, a mild hike at the end of the ride. It’s a quirky way to explore the outdoors and not one you’ll find just anywhere.

Hoover Dam Tour
A great way to not only learn about the history of this monumental construction, but also a brilliant choice in getting glimpses of the Hoover Dam from multiple viewpoints. Whether you’re on the observation deck or marveling at the tremendous generators that power the structure, you’re sure to be amazed. You’ll get a chance to watch a brief video on the making of the dam while exploring the hidden passageways buried deep in the ground.

Amp it Up: Colorado River Raft Hoover Dam Tour
You’ve never seen the Hoover Dam quite like this before, as you board a pontoon raft at the base of the dam you will get awe-inspiring glimpses of this massive structure. A great way to start the day off right, you’ll have a relaxed, 12-mile ride on the Colorado River enjoying the spoils of nature. You’ll make a stop at Willow Beach in Arizona for a picnic-style lunch before heading back out on the water to snap photos of the natural wonderland found in every direction.

Grand Canyon Tour
Get the most out of your Grand Canyon exploration by hopping into a four-wheel drive vehicle and setting out on this all-day guided tour offering the best photo ops at five different locations around the canyon. You’ll explore five spots like Mather Point, Yavapai Point and Bright Angel Point as well as the Grand Canyon Village’s Hopi House. Receive a light breakfast, lunch, water and snacks along the way. From here, you’ll glide through the air enjoying brilliant views of the canyon’s geologic strata, lush vegetation and all-around canyon massiveness. As a bonus, you’ll land at the canyon for a chance to walk across the Skywalk Odyssey – a one-of-a-kind bridge with a glass bottom that takes you 70-feet beyond the rim of the canyon offering observations of the canyon bottom 4,000 feet beneath you.
