Downtown Las Vegas Events Center is Ready For Action

It’s officially opened and while the lineup may be sparse as of now, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) is expected to house a number of events with the ability to host up to 15,000 patrons.

The DLVEC hosted The Great Vegas Gridiron Grill-Off BBQ & Tailgate Festival last weekend (Sept. 6-7) with the next event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 featuring a live performance by Capital Cities. The concert begins at 9 p.m. with special guests by Joywave. Tickets range from $25 to $35 and will take place outside rain or shine with standing room only.

From the hands of Live Nation and MGM Resorts comes the revamped Route 91 music festival. Now dubbed Route 91 Harvest, the three-day music festival will take place October 3-5 at The Lot across from Luxor Hotel & Casino. The talents of Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bently and Brantley Gilbert are slated for the festival's roster along with at least a dozen other country artists.

KISS Heads To Hard Rock Hotel

It's official, KISS, the legendary rock band and music icons have announced their residency at The Joint inside of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for this fall.

"What happens in Vegas will not stay in Vegas, not if we have anything to do with it. We intend to blow the roof off the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino," said Gene Simmons a founding member of KISS in an released statement.

Creators of the Life is Beautiful Festival in Downtown Las Vegas have announced this year's art, music and food lineup for the now three-day cultural event in its second year of operation.

The festival is slated for Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26, “featuring nearly 70 chart-topping acts, dozens of culinary giants, and world-renowned speakers.” The event was created last year as a way to bring growth and further attention to Downtown Vegas as well as the local arts community that is progressively expanding.
