For those of you who, as kids, dreamed of flying like Superman over pedestrians eyeing potential crime beneath you with your cape flapping in the wind, you’re in luck. Well, except for the fighting crime part.

Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas has officially opened its SlotZilla zip lining experience in which you can fly nearly 2,000 feet through the air, 10 stories up over hoards of people beneath you.

Beer lovers headed to Vegas, you are in luck this September with a multitude of beer tasting events on the calendar including the Downtown Brew Festival and BLVD Brew Fest.

The Downtown Brew Festival will be held at the Clark County Amphitheater and will feature more than 150 craft beers from over 50 breweries from around the country.

You know him as the main host of Absinthe – the crazy circus-esque show in the tent on Caesars Palace lawn produced from Spiegelworld. He is the Gazillionaire. He’s raunchy, rude, crude and we love him just the same because he’s hilarious and everyone is at risk for his humor whether feeling the brunt of a joke or laughing alongside at others with him.

If you’re headed to Vegas over the next few weeks, you might want to take note of a few changes about town. Staying at Excalibur Hotel & Casino? Well, you’ll have to go elsewhere for your buffet options as remodeling has begin at the Excalibur Buffet and it won’t be ready until January 2015.

Those looking to stay at Westgate might want to wait until early 2015 as the hotel rooms are receiving a serious renovation that applies to more than 1,000 rooms. Until then, construction might be a bit much if you’re staying on the property.

It’s officially opened and while the lineup may be sparse as of now, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) is expected to house a number of events with the ability to host up to 15,000 patrons.

The DLVEC hosted The Great Vegas Gridiron Grill-Off BBQ & Tailgate Festival last weekend (Sept. 6-7) with the next event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 featuring a live performance by Capital Cities. The concert begins at 9 p.m. with special guests by Joywave. Tickets range from $25 to $35 and will take place outside rain or shine with standing room only.

Each year, hoards of people flock to Vegas in hopes of striking it big, winning that ultimate jackpot that lets them quit their jobs and never work another day in their lives. Well, lately, Vegas has been doing that for even more lucky visitors -- allowing others to keep their strike-it-rich dreams alive.

The highest recorded winner occurred in 2003 when a 25-year-old won $39.7 million off of only $100 at an Excalibur Megabucks machine.

It’s time to take a trip back to when prohibition was in full swing and the underground world of booze, tobacco and all-around depravity was an attractive lifestyle for many.

Opening this Friday, Sept. 12 is the high-energy, cheeky new show LIMELIGHT premiering at The Plaza Hotel & Casino. It’s a chance to experience a unique twist and creative endeavor onstage. A show that breaks the commonality and norm of the regular Vegas scene by integrating a strong storyline portrayed through dancing, singing, comedic vignettes, and awe-inspiring costumes.

As we sit on elegant couches inside of the Delano’s new Franklin bar and lounge with dimly lit lighting and a soundtrack to match, Sarah Johnson orders a round of Timmermans Oude Gueuze for the table.

My question as to where to get sour beers in Vegas was met promptly with her ordering the Timmermans. The tart, sour beer satisfied my thirst as Johnson, a soft spoken and brilliant woman of 36-years-old, discussed her vision for broadening the beer landscape in Las Vegas.

It’s fall in Vegas and that means it’s time to pull out your leather jackets and get your hard rock on because the lineup of concerts headed to town is pretty amazing.
