New Year’s Eve Tips

  • If you are driving, The Strip shuts down at roughly at 6 p.m. so make sure to plan to arrive at your destination early enough to avoid road closures and traffic delays
  • Also remember The Strip doesn’t open until hours after midnight so be prepared to spend the time or grab a taxi to take you to your final destination
  • Still looking for a hotel room for NYE, book now before you are shut out
  • It is winter and even though Las Vegas is known for sweltering temperatures, it does get cold.  If you are planning to watch the fireworks from The Strip, dress warm and we mean jacket, gloves, scarf, etc.
  • Patience, there are more people than normal in Las Vegas on NYE and it takes longer to get from point A to point B, be courteous and give yourself some extra time because it’s better to be early than late
  • Hotels have occupancy levels and at times you may not be granted access unless you have a room key, tickets to a show, dinner and nightclub reservations, etc.
  • Have fun and celebrate, that is the most important part of New Year’s Eve but be safe and remember that everyone else is in Las Vegas to revel in the New Year in good spirits too
