Things To Do For The Family In Las Vegas

Just as your family vacation is stating to come together you start trying to find something other than a few long days at the pool to make your kids happy in Las Vegas. Have no fear because we have you covered. Check out these options for some fun things to do for the family in Las Vegas.

  • Put your kids on a zip line
My kids love soaring high above the ground while zooming along on a steel cable. The adrenaline will flow and I can guarantee you that they will not stop talking about how much fun they had in Las Vegas.
Who can do it: There are no age restrictions but you have to be able to hike to the launch and landing pads. Weight restrictions do apply and participants must be between 75 - 250lbs.
  • Skydive indoors with the kids in Las Vegas
I hovered over the giant fan and felt the rush of skydiving without jumping out of an airplane. So did my 5 year old. If your child is at least 40lbs they can float in doors with the help of an instructor. The instructors are very good at what they do and your children will feel safe and comfortable. They will also talk your ear off about how much fun they had.

    Who can do it:
    Men:
Male Over 6'0" 230 lbs. max. (over 182cm 105kg max)
    Between 5'6" & 6'0" 220 lbs. max. (171cm & 182cm 100kg max)
Male Under 5'6" 180 lbs. max. (under 170cm 82kg max)
    Ladies:
Women Over 6'0" 200 lbs. max. (over 182cm 91kg max)
    Between 5'6" & 6'0" 180 lbs. max. (171cm & 182cm 82kg max)
Women Under 5'6" 160 lbs. max. (under 170cm 73kg max)
No Age Limit - Minimum Weight 40 lbs.

The official word on flight criteria from Vegas Indoor Skydiving:
Our suggested height and weight restrictions are important. Guests who exceed the maximum weight are not guaranteed to generate enough lift to actually fly. Being outside the weight guidelines is not a safety issue as much as quality of flight. We don't want to take your money and then not be able to provide a high quality experience. Depending on how someone is built, or if they are really tall, we can sometimes be flexible with the maximums. We are often asked why the restrictions are different for men and women, the answer is simply that men and women are built and carry their weight differently.

  • Go rafting on the Colorado River

Even though it is a fairly controlled experience there is still a little of adrenaline and the water splashes up every now and then and you have rafted the Colorado. Yes, you have not tackled class IV rapids but you will see the canyons and get a good feel for the water. Baby steps to a big rafting adventure.
    Who can do it:
This activity works for all ages, but it can be a long day in the sun so keep that in mind when considering a day on a raft.
