The weekend is here (we’re starting a day early) and at Galavantier.com we are running down your best bets when it comes to entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip.  A lot of great concerts and comedy acts this weekend in Las Vegas anchored by the Billboard Music Awards!

Friday, May 18

  • Impersonator, comedian and singer, Jeff Tracta brings his triple threat act to the Pearl at Palms.  Tickets start at $59 plus tax and fees.
  • Rant and rave all night as funnyman Lewis Black returns for an evening of comedy at the Mirage.  Tickets start at $59.99 plus tax and fees.
  • Over at the Hard Rock Hotel, Taio Cruz hosts the Billboard Battle of the Bands inside The Joint.  Finalists Take the Day, Savannah Quten, After the Smoke, Doe Eye, Saints of Valory and Patent Pending vie for top honors.  Tickets are free and available for pickup at The Joint box office.

Saturday, May 19

  • Living legend, Mr. Buddy Guy will bring his incredible talents to the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.  Tickets start at $29 plus tax and fees.
  • Reggae will be alive and kicking as Don Carlos and Friends take the stage for a boogie get down, poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel.  Tickets are $35 plus tax and fees.
  • Alternative rock band, Sponge, bring their ‘90s sound to Veil at the Silverton.  Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 day of show.
  • One of the great New Orleans brass bands, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue play a free show at the Clark County Amphitheatre.
  • Glam metal band, Stryper, will take you back to the ‘80s for a rocking evening of music at Santa Fe Station Casino. Tickets are $24.95 plus tax and fees.

Sunday, May 20

  • The stars will be flocking to the Las Vegas Strip as the 2012 Billboard Music Awards take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  Tickets start at $75 plus tax and fees.
