Tour Manager: Las Vegas Concerts & Comedy This Weekend

Hey everyone, Tour Manager here with a rundown of some of your best bets in Las Vegas entertainment to look forward to this weekend, including the iHeart Radio Music Festival at MGM Grand.

Thursday, September 22

 

  • Rising indie rockers Smith Westerns play a free show at The Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan.

 

Friday, September 23

 

  • The first day of iHeart Radio Music Festival rolls into Las Vegas featuring top talent including Jay-Z, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jane’s Addiction as they take to the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

 

 

  • New York rockers Alberta Cross play a special midnight set as part of The Cosmopolitan’s Indie Sessions.  Tickets are free and the concert is poolside.

 

  • Looking for laughs?  Host of The Tonight Show, Jay Leno headlines and evening of comedy at the Mirage.  Tickets start at $79.99 plus tax and fees.

 

Saturday, September 24

 

  • Day two of the iHeart Radio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Garden arena brings another wave of radio chart toppers as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Kenny Chesney, Nicki Minaj, Rascal Flatts, David Guetta, Sublime with Rome are all set to perform.  Usher, Sting and Jeff Beck are also slated for special guest performances.

 

  • iHeart Radio Music Festival also spills outside where Paul Van Dyk will take to the turntables and DJ a raucous party at Wet Republic just steps away from the Grand Garden Arena.

 

  • Classic rock at its finest as Styx and REO Speedwagon descend on the neon desert for a night of good old fashion rock and roll. Tickets start at $35.50 plus tax and fees.

 

  • Conor Oberst brings his troupe Bright Eyes to The Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan for an intimate evening under the stars.  Tickets are $32.50.

 

  • “Hold On Loosely” and take a trip back to the 80s as 38 Special perform at Mandalay Beach.  Tickets are $35 plus tax and fees.

 

  • J. Chris Newberg from America’s Got Talent brings his shtick to The Lounge at Palms Casino Resort.  Tickets are $39.99 plus tax and fees.

 

  • Jazz fans rejoice as The Rippingtons roll into town and perform at Sam’s Town.  Tickets start at 425 plus tax and fees.

 

Sunday, September 25

 

  • Get ready to swing and do your thing as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy perform at The Orleans.  Tickets start at $22 plus tax and fees.

 

Monday, September 26

 

  • Rising indie-rockers Two Door Cinema Club make the trip from their native Ireland to perform a special concert inside Body English at The Hard Rock.
