Travel Through A Lens: Brunch at Simon at Palms Place Las Vegas

Not many word combinations other than “brunch” can generate such genuine happiness. And not many places can seamlessly mix the joys of breakfast (French Toast and bacon) with the pleasantries of lunch (burgers and fries). Thinking of Sunday Brunch and particular for Father’s Day this weekend, look no further.

If you know anything about Simon Restaurant & Lounge at Palms Place Las Vegas you know it’s an unapologetic mix of Las Vegas modern and retro swank. The place is designed to inject your eating experience with a dose of glamour. To be quite honest, you might feel like this is scene plucked out of some fabulous TV series where the characters laugh at the night's happenings, while sipping champagne and watching celebs flounder in the pool.  Actually that’s exactly what it feels like. The fare is certainly the doing of the breakfast gods. Feast on an impressive buffet, which features brunch time favorites like fruit, sandwiches, pastries, shrimp, ham and fontina cheese on pretzel bread and pecorino honeycomb paninis--all that good stuff. But don’t fill up here. Park yourself and order the lobster eggs benedict. It’s a gourmand's dream made reality. Act like a kid and order pigs in a blanket.  Also be sure to get something sweet to go with your savory. A can't miss? The Frosted Flake dredged French Toast (thank us later). And because no brunch is complete without champagne, opt for Simon’s bottomless Mimosa’s or outstanding Bloody Mary Bar, with everything from traditional celery stalks to Slim Jim’s at your ready.

Let’s talk cost, you’ll shell out $40 a person, but you’ll be full for hours and your taste buds will be very pleased. Make a reservation, because this place fills up fast (and now you know why). Brunch is on Sunday’s from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 702.944.3292.
