Why You'll Be Staying At SLS Las Vegas

You need a few reasons to consider the newest hotel on the Las Vegas strip so this is the quick guide to the new SLS Las Vegas: (As I have just done a full five days of experiencing at this new property if I tell you to pace yourself you should know that the party factor is huge and there is a good chance that this place might require a little self discipline. )

Breakfast at the Griddle. Do not attempt to eat the pancakes alone as they will clog your system. These things are huge but so good that they tempt you to overeat. You will need to exercise some self restraint or you could be in for a large box of leftovers. This is also your late night dining option so remember that friends do not let friends drunk order at the late night food spot. This is good but the portions are huge.

Lunch at the Foxtail Pool: You’ll spend your day at the pool and they currently have two pools that will switch around as the resort pool. The Foxtail pool is actually connected to the Foxtail Nightclub so you know that there is a good chance you’ll return for the nightlife portion of this venue. While at the pool try the grilled octopus along with one of the Watermelon slushy cocktails. (Why do I describe them in such a vague way? I had a few too many and my notes just call for “Watermelon Slushy” by the pool. I warned you, the SLS Las Vegas is serious about the party)

Dinner at Katsuya would suffice if you wanted the same old thing that you can get at plenty of sushi spots on the strip. What you want is Cleo. Mediterranean inspired menu with so many impressive dishes that you will begin to consider over eating once again. Save yourself because the cocktails are fabulous as well. You could go cheap and indulge in an Umami Burger or pizza at 800 Degrees Pizza. If you want a full blown foodie experience try Jose Andres Bazaar Meat and try not to love the fancy pork rinds.

Where will you dance? I told you about Foxtail and you can also head to LIFE. The Sayers Club offers live music and the casino bar is also worth a visit. Before you decide on any of those find the outdoor patio at Umami Burger and sit around enjoying the scene. You‘ll have plenty of time to strategize for the night.

Once again: Use self restraint, this is a spot for a serious party.
