The Pool at the Plaza Event Calendar - October 2021

The Plaza Hotel probably isn’t the first place people tend to think of when planning a relaxing afternoon poolside in our piece of the Mojave. However, after receiving a multi-million dollar facelift (the first since its opening in 1971, to be precise), we have no doubt that the Plaza Pool is quickly going to become a must-do for locals and tourists alike. The now 70,000 square foot all-ages venue features loungers, daybeds, and private cabanas that include TVs, fans, refrigerators and even a safe to hold your valuables.



The upgrades include a fully stocked cocktail bar, ready to whip up the perfect pina colada to kick-off a day in the sun. If you find yourself feeling a bit peckish, have no fear. The complex has its very own food truck parked right next to the pool. The menu was inspired by California seaside cuisine and includes a variety of mouthwatering selections (two words: lobster rolls). The pool also has the option to order food service from Zaba’s Mexican Grill or Pop Up Pizza, both of which are located inside of the casino.



For those guests hoping to try their luck in true Sin City fashion, the Plaza Hotel Pool also has several outdoor gaming tables. If sports are more your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that in addition to all the swanky new amenities, the Plaza has added tennis courts, basketball courts, and several pickleball courts that are available for reservations. What is pickleball you ask? Excellent question! Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. and is a hybrid of tennis and ping-pong.



After spending time on the court, relax those aching muscles in the spa-worthy twelve-person hot tub. The Plaza is also ramping up their game with a brand new stage to provide guests with live music from a variety of different performers, such as DJs to a Johnny Cash tribute band. With so many awesome ways to spend a day at the pool, we guarantee that Plaza Hotel Pool will quickly rise through the ranks of the Las Vegas Daylife scene.
