1 OAK NYC Nightclub Event Calendar - June 2020

Short for “1 of A Kind” 1 OAK satisfies its namesake with gumption. One of the premier nightspots in the Chelsea neighborhood, this is where the international elite choose to revel: musicians, models, artists, and wolves of Wall Street alike. As one might expect, 1 OAK displays the most posh aesthetic imaginable. Rather than neon laser shows, you are met with beautiful painting’s adorning the wall, masculine raw oak wood paneling, avant-garde floor patterns, and even a fireplace. Don’t worry, the club doesn’t leave fun off the table; stripper poles are at your disposal when drunken inspiration strikes. The layout is split by the central black lacquered bar and VIP seating-area (complete with an authentic fireplace), with enormous paintings by Roy Nachum (known for his design work at Southern Hospitality and Saucy) highlighted throughout. An outdoor smoking lounge partially bordered with mirrored walls is there to help mitigate those already lighting up inside. Ostrich-leather banquettes line the metallic gold curtained brick walls. The DJ booth and dance floor are found in the front room with the wall of sound blasting off from behind. With top DJs like Steve Aoki making this venue their home, it is essentially at the top of our must-visit list.
