5 Bars You Should Know About In Las Vegas

Before you go seeking out these bars with a hope of finding a secret spot that nobody knows about or with a desire to find the greatest cocktail on the Las Vegas strip you should know that this is not what this is about. This list of bars is really 5 places you should go to have fun. That may sound odd to you but really why else do we decide to head to Las Vegas?

So, no fancy fruit infused liquor, (I lie, Scarlet infuses their spirits) no celebrity mixologist (Max Solano at Delmonico should be a celebrity but he is a something better, a quality bartender) no gimmicks (well, Carlos “n Charlie’s is pretty gimmicky) … check out the list and let us know what you think

Hit Bar and Lounge at Monte Carlo – You will not immediately see this bar. It is hidden. In fact it might be one of the best kept secrets on this side of the strip. The problem is I don’t think they are trying to be a secret. In fact with the way they crank out quality classic cocktail you would think that the Hit Lounge would be six rows deep with people who enjoy a fabulous cocktail. It’s not, it can get a little crowded because it is small but if you walk up and order an Aviation you can bet that the bartender will provide you with a classic cocktail done exactly the way it was intended.

The Bar at Delmonico at Venetian – Let’s disregard the food at Delmonico. It’s a given that Emeril Lagasse’s team does an outstanding job here, really, solid meal each and every time. We want to talk about cocktails and if there is a bar where you can go in and have a classy drink in a classy atmosphere with a class act behind the bar it is at Delmonico and that bartender is Max Solano. Go ahead and tell him what you like and you’ll see the way he listens to your instructions and then prepares an expertly crafted drink.

Carlos ‘N Charlie’s at Flamingo – This is right about the time where you call me crazy. This is not the bar you head into for a cocktail. You get beers by the bucket or a giant margarita in a big bowl of a drinking dispenser. Be aware that someone might start dancing on the bar and there is a good chance that you might find yourself in a conga line. You don’t have an issue with having fun, right?

I said 5 bars, right? Well, Scarlet at Palms is hidden away and if you want to learn a little about cocktails and in fusions this is the spot to ask the questions. They lonely have 4 seats so might be standing. The Long Bar at the D is the opposite of Scarlet as you find a spot, order a drink and feel the energy of the casino right beside you. This downtown bar is fun and very comfortable without any pretense.
