Date Night Las Vegas at Bellagio

Date Night in Las Vegas: Bellagio Style

The wine bottle is half empty and I’m sitting in a large crowded Las Vegas restaurant when I get the idea of taking my wife on a date. So, naturally I figure I should write about it so that while I am coming up with the perfect date night in Las Vegas I’m also working.

It’s pretty simple to impress your date at Bellagio Las Vegas but if you need to step up your game follow my advice and you’ll soon be sleeping in on Saturday morning and having breakfast delivered to your bed as you watch highlights.

Start the date at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. Currently Andy Warhol’s work is being displayed and the best part of this collection is that it makes you have a conversation. You don’t have to be a huge Warhol fan to appreciate what he did but walking through the collection you’ll have an opinion. You’ll share your opinions and before you know it your night progresses from art talk to cocktail talk.

Step up to the bar and go classic at Petrossia Bar. Don’t go sweet and swizzle stick, have the bartenders do what they do best and that is make a fine cocktail. Might I suggest a Cable Car? The bartender is willing to give you a little background on the drink and he’ll go through the ingredients if the place is not too crowded. Personally, I’m a Hemingway Daiquiri kind of guy at Petrossian Bar and if I have one it almost always leads to a second and an attempt by me to book a trip to Bimini.

I would normally tell you to stop in to Le Cirque and have one of those meals that can change your perspective on all things food. You can still do that but I’m thinking that a date night with Sensi in the mix is more fitting. The four kitchens put together a diverse collection of master pieces and Chef Roy Ellamar brings a little Island Style to his menu so you might sense a little of his Hawaiian roots in the food.

The night will evolve and you’ll head over to the showroom where “O” by Cirque du Soleil will tempt you to start taking swimming lessons. The show happens under, on top and over water. It is captivating, entertaining and mesmerizing. There is a reason why it is often refereed to as the best show in Las Vegas. What ever you do, do not forget to breathe. It happens all the time, you watch the swimmers and you think you need to hold your breath when they go under. Don’t do it.

In Las Vegas date nights always go longer than expected so your after show spot is Hyde Bellagio. The views of the strip are impressive but the energy in the room is even more impressive. Dance, lounge, flirt and get your complete Las Vegas experience in.
