Get Naked Vegas, Get Married & Get the Full EDC Experience

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) converges on Vegas this weekend and we've got everything you need to know in order to have an epic time at the festival. From picking your costume to getting hitched and how to staying hydraded, as well as Snapchatting the night away, don't miss out on our guide to getting the full EDC experience.

Get Naked, Vegas
Okay, we know you won’t get naked for EDC, well, mostly, but you are going to want to show off your best EDC garb for the big event. Why not head to Naked Vegas for some head-to-toe body paint? They even provide the pasties so you can check that off of your list. You’ll finally get to be the colorful fairy you’ve always dreamed of. Learn more here.

Get Hitched at EDC
If you’re looking to get hitched at the EDM wonderland, then you’re in luck. The popular wedding packages introduced last year are back for another run. There are two wedding packages available from Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel for legal ceremonies. You can also partake in a non-legal commitment ceremony so you can show your love to your favorite EDC bestie without actually having a legal obligation binding you to them. Don’t forget to ask for Elvis to preside over your ceremony for that added Vegas flair.

Snapchat Say What?
With EDC having grown to accommodate around 50,000 more fans than last year and being even larger than ever in town, you’re going to want to hop on the social bandwagon and share your best EDC moments real time. This year, creators of the Snapchat app are helping to make this happen with a free dedicated Wi-Fi signal at the event. So get your smartphone ready, you’re about to make Snapchat history with the other 400,000 people attending.

Helpful Hints to Increase Fun at EDC

  • If you need anything during the event, you’ll want to look for the purple-shirted, fanny-pack wearing people known as Ground Control. They also have light sabers and they are there to keep things going smoothly while providing assistance to those in need.
  • Don’t forget to drink your aqua. With all that dancing, the summer Vegas heat and the crowds, staying hydrated can be a challenge so make an effort to down water as much as possible.
  • Insomniac team members and creators of the festival, remind you to buddy up. If you lose your friends at the festival, you’re going to have a heck of a time trying to find them, so stay together. If all else fails, establish a meet up spot beforehand.
  • Remember there is an on-site medical facility in case of emergencies and if you can’t find it, find Ground Control.
