Get Your Curry On With These Must-Visit Restaurants

Long known for its beneficial effects on health, curry is a delicious spice that can make a dull meal a phenomenal one. In Vegas, it can be difficult to navigate through the multitude of curry restaurants to find the right one that will perfectly satisfy your palate. We’ve found the three best curry restaurants in town ranging across different ethnic variations including Thai, Japanese and Indian.

archies Archi’s Thai Kitchen
6360 W. Flamingo Rd.
702-880-5550
Everyone’s favorite is the Pad Thai, but when you’re at Archi’s, mix it up a bit by ordering a few items from the menu and sharing with your dinner party. Two Galavantier staff favorites include the Beef Panang and the Spicy Basil, which includes ground chicken mixed together with fresh basil, chili, garlic, zucchini and bell peppers. As always, you can spice it up to your tastes on the 1 to 10 scale. The Beef Panang includes a thick curry sauce with hints of coconut milk and hearty chunks of bell peppers, green beans and lime leaves. You won’t be disappointed, we promise. You will, however, probably leave with a box because who doesn’t love Thai leftovers?

5020 #1 Spring Mountain Road
702-985-1192
Tucked away in the heart of Chinatown is Curry Zen. The menu here is simple, but the quality will blow your mind. All entrée portions are accompanied with white or brown rice. Order from items like the Pork, Chicken or Tofu Katsu (among others) and spice it up on the 1 to 10 scale or add spices provided to you on the table. With a hearty helping of creamy, rich curry sauce, you’ll revel in the explosive flavors found with each bite. If you get it on the spicier side, cool you mouth off between bites with a Calpico – a traditional Japanese beverage that is milky and thirst quenching. Definitely opt for a side order of Curry Pan, which is light and perfect for soaking up all that curry sauce.

3641 W. Sahara Ave.
702.892.0950
A classic menu you’d find at any Indian restaurant, Mount Everest has a way of taking the ordinary to extraordinary levels. Start your meal off with a Mango Lassi, which is mango blended to perfection with yogurt and a splash of rose water. Don’t waste your time deciding between which entrée to get, go straight for the Thali Specials section of the menu and find yourself a sampler platter to get the best of everything. We recommend the Mount Everest India’s cuisine special that includes smaller portions of Chicken Tikka Masala (a Galavantier all-time favorite), Dal Makhani, Palak Panner, Lamb Curry, Basmati rice, Naan bread, Raita, salad, Vegetable Samosas, Sheekh Kabab and Papadam. The fun doesn’t stop there, you also get an Indian Chai and Gulab Jamun for dessert. Probably a good idea to split this one among friends.
