Hard Rock To Permanently Close Center Bar & Body English

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is making big moves... and making them swiftly. It's been announced that the legendary Center Bar is hosting its final night on Sunday after 20 years of business. Dubbed "Final Toast" the event will go from 7 to 10 p.m. Top hits from '95 (Center Bar's debut year) will be on blast throughout the event. In addition, the bar will be running a "Last Call" drink promotion which showcases the most uniquely popular cocktails from the past two decades. If you are unfamiliar with this historical panoramic style bar, be sure to stop by for a drink. Center Bar was patroned by celebrities and rockstars alike and has been one of the top strip locations to spot the rich and famous.

To make our hearts sink even more, the rumor going around social media town is that Body English Nightclub will be permanently shutting its doors after July 3.  Body English inside Hard Rock has been a long-standing favorite of tourists and locals that love a nightclub offering plenty of substance and not just simply opulence. It's an intimate venue that recruits both celebrity DJs and soul-spinning underground stars.

One can only wonder why stakeholders would consider closing up such a shop. Unfortunately, as progressive house music continues to further dominate the commercial sphere, venues offering diverse genres of music just can't compete like they used to. As the popularity of commercial EDM rises, so does the influx of tourists whose ears are more closely attuned to mainstream trends. Nightclubs that offer a little bit of everything seem to have less of a competitive advantage these days. Blame it on the free market. Now, if you know anything about Vegas... you know that Vegas does not like empty space – especially on the Strip. If you're any sort of "body linguist" then surely you'll want to make an appearance this Friday or Saturday for the last hurrah. Go buck-wild, and be sure to let the managers know that you'll miss this beloved venue. We sincerely hope its eventual replacement will retain the spirit of soulful dance music and good vibes that Body English curated so well.
