According to the roster, a majority of the Top 100 DJs have played Vegas this year, including the DJ wonderland that is Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC) at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  In fact, 55 of the Top 100 DJs played at this year’s EDC fest, which was held June 20-22. A pretty good turnout for Vegas to have more than half of the worlds best playing at a festival, which brings approximately 400,000 people in crazy costumes, colorful tutus and rainbow gear during the three-day music fest.

As far as rankings go, Hardwell ranked number one for the second year in a row. Followed by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who moved up four spots to number 2 knocking Armin Van Burren out of that spot from 2013.

Martin Garrix had the second biggest jump, up 36 spots to number 4 knocking Tiesto out his number 4 ranking last year. Avicii, David Guetta and Nicky Romero all moved down a spot or two or three, but still made the Top 10. Skrillex jumped up two spots to number 9, likely because of his Corey Feldman double take look, and rounding out number 10 was Mr. Vegas himself: Steve Aoki, who recently laid down permanent roots in Sin City.

Just to give you a little background on how the voting works, it’s solely driven by the fans. Each year, DJMag sends out a survey link to fans allowing for a two-month open voting system. They also have technologies in place to disqualify voters trying to hack the system. With that said, a lot of Vegas visitors must be voting because the list is quite substantial.
