Inside The Rio’s Hotspots

The Rio Hotel & Casino is a unique property to Las Vegas for one awesome reason - all of its rooms are suites. That's right, all of them. You can't NOT book a suite at The Rio. This isn't a bad problem to have, in our opinion, for a couple of reasons;

1. Keeps it classy.
2. The views of the Strip are awesome when you're situated a little west of the main drag.

While you're staying at The Rio, be sure you don't miss out on a few of our favorite gems inside.

VooDoo Beach
Vegas has no shortage of awesome pool parties, and VooDoo Beach is no exception. If a summer day spent on white sand beaches, in the warm Vegas sun, and sipping cool cocktails surrounded by sexy people doesn't float your boat, then you're probably in the wrong city to begin with. VooDoo Beach offers four different pool areas, waterfalls, cabanas and a live DJ in their 21+ section. The hotel is named after Brazil's hotspot, so don't be surprised by the luxurious feel of a Copacabana Beach atmosphere.

KJ Dim Sum
This dim sum joint is usually pretty busy, which is a good sign for any restaurant worth visiting. Fast service, lots of menu items, and fresh, hot food coming out in a constant stream on carts makes KJ Dim Sum a local favorite. Popular items include their Taro Buns, Leek Dumplings, Shrimp in Rice Noodle Wrap, Shumei, and their Egg Tarts. This spot is close to our hearts after discovering it for our Dim Sum dine around.

Wine Cellar Tasting Room
Wine tasting is the best because you get to feel classy AND get wasted at the same time. No better spot to do this inside The Rio than in their Wine Cellar Tasting Room. Ten thousand bottles of fine wines (valued at more than $10 million, collectively) are available as well as what they call "cult wines." These wines are rare, hard to find and matured to perfection. They even have an 1800 Madeira from Thomas Jefferson's own cellar, though we're guessing it's not possible to taste it. What's wine without cheese? Well...still delicious and desired, but we never turn down cheese. Pair your vino with the Wine Cellar's tasty appetizers.

VooDoo Zip Line
Ready to fly towards this amazing hotel right now after reading all that? Okay, you got it. Jump onto the VooDoo Zip Line and fly from 490 feet up and onto the Rio's rooftop while overlooking the Vegas valley, VooDoo pool, and the surrounding Strip. The staff at Galavantier are quite the adrenaline junkies, so we always appreciate the opportunity to sign a waiver and get our hearts pumping.
