More Great Dive Bars in Vegas

stage-doorStage Door
Although technically the Stage Door is labeled a casino, this 24/7 establishment might not be top notch when it comes to gambling, or at least the rumor is that the machines are tight. However, if you’re on the Strip and you’re ready to get crunk for less than $20, then take a short stroll down Flamingo just east of The Cromwell, across from Bally’s. Here you’ll find a smoky bar with just the right amount of fun. Order their special, which includes a beer and a hot dog for only $3. Put some coins in the jukebox and add several songs to the playlist, then sit back and relax as you revel in good conversation and the cheapest drinks in town.

Beer lovers, it’s time to meet your match. When it comes to dive bars with beer selections, Money Plays is the place to get your drink on. With 24 beers on tap and 90 bottled beers available to choose from as well as a selection of sakes, liqueurs and wines. This place is definitely a hidden gem located on Flamingo, just west of Palms Casino Resort. A dive bar that offers live music on select nights, visitors can also try their hand at a little foosball, darts or shuffleboard on the daily. While the bar doesn’t have food to choose from, you can get Mexican dishes delivered to the bar from El Taco Feliz right next door.

moon doggies bar las vegasMoon Doggies
You can drive past Moon Doggies and not even blink an eye, but you’d be missing out on some good grub, a bit of gambling and cheap drinks. With the beach bum theme going on, this dive isn’t child-friendly, even though they serve pizza. With a laid-back crowd in a colorful, yet low-lit bar, you’ll find good conversation, friendly staff and tasty concoctions. Plus, this is a great place to watch a sports game, can you say football season?

champsChampagnes Café
Very much the quintessential dive bar, Champagnes offers cheap ass drinks in a smoke-filled room that can get quite crowded when the karaoke gets going. Velvet-lined wallpaper and a dimly lit interior add to the divey charm this bar exudes. With only two beers on tap, including PBR and Honey Brown, Champagnes is known more for its karaoke, which happens on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. One of the bar’s extra special deals is if you celebrate your birthday at Champagnes, you get a free shot, $20 in free drinks (for you and 4 friends) and a free t-shirt.

the dive bar las vegasThe Dive Bar
With a name like The Dive Bar, how can you not add it to the list? It’s actually a relative newcomer to the scene or at least its current location, but it has all the makings of a quality dive with tatted bartenders, a dark ambiance, and lots of live music events – including the occasional burlesque performance. Not exactly a place to take Mom and Dad, unless the folks love to drink like a fish and curse like a sailor, The Dive Bar is for the badass dive-bar patron.
