Spring Break in Las Vegas

Wow, is it Spring Break already? Feels like it was just New Year’s Eve! But hey, the calendar doesn’t lie, and like they say, time flies when you’re having fun.

Vegas is always having fun, but Spring Break is the time of year when things really start to come alive. The weather is turning hot, the pretty people seem hotter, and it’s time to party. Now, you can find a good party just about anywhere on the Las Vegas Strip, but let’s save you some head-scratching time and point you straight to some of the best spots.

Party On The Patio
There are no shortage of choices when it comes to taking the celebration outdoors in Las Vegas: At Flamingo, the newish Carlos & Charlie’s has a great view of the tropical gardens while classic Margaritaville looks over Strip Central. Over at Treasure Island, choose between Gilley’s & Senor Frog’s—one has Country music, barbecue and Wed. night bikini mud wrestling (oh, you heard me right), the other has karaoke, fresh Mexican food and a fantastic Strip view. At Planet Hollywood, you can take your pick from Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina and PBR. And then there’s the granddaddy of them all, and still the reigning king of flair frivolity, Carnaval Court (Harrah’s).

Looking for deals? The new Rockhouse on the front outside of the Venetian has all-you-drink deals, and on a slightly more “behave yourself just a little” vibe, Rhumbar at Mirage is a great place for a cocktail along with a cigar or hookah.

Things To Do
But you’re not going to just drink the whole time you’re in Vegas, are you? No, seriously, there is other stuff to do. Like the Roller Coaster at New York New York (oh, it’s worth it), the rides and SkyJump on top of the Stratosphere (come on, you’re in Vegas, do something you’ll remember!), Indoor Skydiving, outdoor off-roading, the flightlinez in Bootleg Canyon, Indoor Karting. Don’t worry, Vegas is not running out of ideas for you. One more: Kiss Mini Golf. Yes, as in KISS, the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Check out our ideas on things to do in Las Vegas.

You’ll be wanting to hit the nightclubs and the dayclubs/pool parties of course, but there’s too much to talk about in that subject here. Check out our nightlife in Las Vegas section.

Maybe you want to see a show. There are obviously loads of choices, but ones you’ll probably enjoy the most include Absinthe, The Beatles LOVE, or maybe a comedy show like Steve-O and Tom Green (yes, they’re performing together).

As mom would say, you better eat something too. Try Tacos ‘N’ Tequila at the Luxor, Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace or believe it or not, the Fat Burger right on the Strip, definitely right for the price. And you can drink there, too (now that’s a thought).
