You roll into town in the late afternoon, what are your options? Check-in to the hotel and hit the tables? Drink early and often? Plant yourself at the buffet and demolish the seafood bar?

Before you begin you have to realize that the Vegas weekend is not a sprint, it is a half marathon, so do your due diligence and pace yourself. Don’t force the good time as it will find you.

Consider the Casino Bar first, take Social, for example, at the Palms. Sitting right in the middle of all the action on the casino floor this is the place to begin your Las Vegas adventure. Go in, have a seat on the soft leather couches and adjust with a stiff cocktail. Slow it down before you speed it up again, order a Manhattan, that should round you out a bit. The pool is nearby, food options are plentiful and if you need some nightlife action the clubs at Palms will keep you up all night.

If you see two people that you think you should talk to, step up, walk right over and do it. Talk to them, they are looking to have fun as well and there is little shame in getting shot down in Las Vegas. This is not the pretentious club scene you are experiencing back home. Las Vegas is all about having fun so meet some new friends and get your full dose of the Vegas experience.

If you want to set the tone for a weekend of misadventures this is where it all begins. Are you bringing your attitude with you on your weekend getaway or are you picking up a new one at McCarran airport? Exactly, when the boys get together in Vegas it is all about having fun so find a few spots such as Public House Las Vegas at Luxor or Pub 1842 at MGM Grand and watch a few games and have some beers.

You’ll need some action during the middle of the day. You will probably be at the pool and if you are still seeking those out I will suggest The Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace, The Beach at Mandalay Bay or the Boulevard Pool at Cosmopolitan.

A bite, a beer and a plan and you are set for a Vegas weekend others will envy.
