The Drink Before The Dance: Marquee Nightclub At Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

Las Vegas has a way of a making you do things that you would otherwise not do such as drink heavily in the middle of the day after a long night of drinking and dancing. There is something in the Las Vegas air that motivates us to have a good time while enjoying a few cocktails and rehearsing all the bad pick–up lines we have stored in our mental bank. It is as if when we get off the airplane our processor slowed down just enough for us to reconsider all the smart decisions we have made in the past and we now get to ask for a redo.

It’s why Las Vegas is so great and with that in mind you need to find a great bar to have a pre-nightclub cocktail. Listen to me when I say that you do not want to wait until you get into the crowded nightclub to have your first drink. No, you must be lubricated and prepared to take on any situation that you might be confronted with. It is imperative that you prepare your body correctly for a night out in Las Vegas. The only way to do that is with cocktails.

Chandelier Bar Before Marquee Nightclub

This is a no-brainer because if you are gong to Marquee how can you pass up a quick drink at the Chandelier bar? Well, it’s easy to miss because you could have stopped into the Vesper Bar where the mixologist will impress you with their knowledge of real cocktails. These talented people know a thing or two about the classic cocktail so if you are seeking a cocktail with some class you’ll find it at Vesper Bar.

You’ll walk past BOND and consider it for an after nightclub drink with a view of the strip. I personally enjoy BOND as an option for cocktails because of the view of either people walking past you or the dancing pretty people high above you. I like that you can find a place to sit and find yourself in between the laid back lounge and the high energy nightclub scene. Two drinks tops here because this is not where you’ll spend the entire night.

You might find yourself at Book & Stage and start wondering why should ever leave. Yes, the music is great and quite often the live band has so much energy that you stay longer than you should. I have no argument against that unless you really want to dance and the truth is the club will have all that energy plus a bit more. If you decide that you and a new found friend from the club need a place to sit and chat, Book & Stage is where you should walk to.

I originally told you that you should stop at Chandelier Bar and the truth is you have to. Where else can you have a drink inside a giant Chandelier? 3 levels of enjoyment in order for you to have a complete bar experience. Save the top level for the last drink of the night as it is more of a lounge for that moment when your feet hurt but you are still thirsty. Hit the casino level when you need a quick drink. The spot before the nightclub is level 2. You’ll get a hand crafted cocktail and then immerse yourself into the culture of the Cosmopolitan Hotel right in the middle of the action in the middle of the bar that is at the center of all the attention.

One last thing: Don’t forget to tip the people that are making these great drinks. They spend a little extra time on your drink because they love what they do and they love to see you have a good time.
