Travel Through A Lens: Scoot City Tours - Red Rock Canyon

Getting off the Las Vegas Strip and seeing the numerous natural wonders of the world that lay in Nevada is something everyone should experience at least once.  Thanks to our fantastic travel partner, Scoot City Tours, you can do just that in one of their three wheel scootercars as you enjoy the sights and sounds of Red Rock Canyon!

Each scootercar allows two people to sit side by side and enjoy each other’s company while taking in 360 degree unobstructed views; all the while having the wind blow through your hair and having the sun shine warmly on your face. Think of the same open air feeling of riding a jetski or snowmobile and the excitement that comes with it; you will surely feel like a little kid again. And driving the scootercar itself, just twist and go.  No clutches, no gears, no helmets or special license required.

As for the Red Rock tour, Scoot City has handpicked several stops along our tour to make sure you have the time of your life and can take back some memorable pictures as well.   Every stop has an amazing back drop for picture taking, and the scenery almost feels surreal at times.  The tour starts in a very exclusive area of Las Vegas called Summerlin (named after Howard Hughes’ grandmother).  You’ll have an opportunity to cruise through some really nice neighborhoods and truly understand that life does exist off the Las Vegas Strip.  After about a 5 mile drive through the middle of the Mojave Desert (of course on a paved road) your jaw is going to drop at the pure beauty of Red Rock Canyon.  One of the most beautiful canyons you’ll ever see.   First stop on your Scoot City tour is at the new $23 million visitor’s center which the U.S. Federal Government did a wonderful job of building an amazing facility that is not only educational, but very cool to check out as well.  Next you are off to at least three more stops in the canyon where you’ll have a chance to see where professional rock climbers come from all over the world to climb, and you can even try a little hiking/climbing yourself.  One of the most amazing views on your tour will come when you roll up to the High Point Overlook (almost up to 5000 feet elevation).  You’ll have expansive views of the southern part of the Las Vegas Valley with almost 70 miles of visibility looking out towards Los Angeles.

So next time you come to Las Vegas and want to get off The Strip, remember Scoot City Tours for a fun and safe outdoor adventure.
