Steve Wynn is known for his lavish properties. He built the Bellagio before high-end casinos in Las Vegas were en vogue and he upped the ante with his signature resorts Wynn and Encore. So when the gaming magnate sought to build one of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas he spared no expense, hence the name XS Nightclub. With décor that includes 24-karat gold accents this 13,000-square-foot mega club could be a symbol of excess in city that thrives on it, but instead sets itself apart with an environment you won't find anywhere else. As you walk into XS Nightclub inside Encore the first sign of luxury comes in the form of a 15-foot long gold-plated mold of nude women. A gold-plated chandelier rotates above the 1,100-square-foot dance floor that is packed nightly with superstar DJs like Deadmau5 regularly behind the 1s and 2s. While the inside of the club is beyond imagination it is just one piece of what makes XS successful. A 27,000-square-foot pool deck opens up on select nights and occasionally allows for a late-night swim party. That's a 40,000-square-foot nightclub playground to enjoy.

Our Review

Las Vegas is a city of excess, from lavish resorts to overwhelming amounts of food and endless entertainment options. But none match that of XS Nightclub at Encore. Money was obviously not a factor at XS with gold-plated features, up to 40,000-square-feet of partying space and the top DJ in the world as its resident turntablist. While excess is a bad thing in a lot of situations, XS fits right into the overall theme of luxury at the Wynn and Encore. A 10-foot-wide, gold-plated chandelier is the center of the party as it rotates above the massive dance floor. As revelers throw their hands in the air to the never-ending stream of electronic dance music, other guests live it up in the exorbitant gold embossed crocodile skin VIP booths. At XS, there's nothing wrong with a little excess. --Review by Justin Lawson
