Beer drinking nerds headed to Las Vegas are in for one hell of a treat. One of the best pubs in town is now offering an event that you just can’t miss out on. That’s right, it’s the Geeks Who Drink Pub Quizzes and it’s at Aces & Ales -- at both of its locations.

Geeks Who Drink, based out of Denver, Colorado, hosts these events at more than 300 pubs across 25 states. Many ask what the difference is between Geeks Who Drink and pub trivia nights. Well, there’s quite a large difference, actually, and it’s not for the faint of heart, err, head, rather.

This fall the best of the rockabilly world heads to Vegas for the first annual Rockabilly Rockout at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino on Thursday, October 2 through Sunday, October 5.

The event is all about good old-fashioned rock’n’roll meets country music with a splash of rhythm’n’blues. Not only will the event feature rockabilly bands from around the world, but DJs (i.e. record hops) Tom Ingram and Jerry Chatabox among others will be spinning rockabilly-themed music between bands.

She’s the owner of Sin City Gallery – a place to escape the doldrums of ‘conservative’ art.

The intriguing Dr. Laura Henkel, who landed in Vegas in 2008, did so with a bang as she helped conceive the Erotic Heritage Museum where she worked until 2010.

It's official, KISS, the legendary rock band and music icons have announced their residency at The Joint inside of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for this fall.

"What happens in Vegas will not stay in Vegas, not if we have anything to do with it. We intend to blow the roof off the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino," said Gene Simmons a founding member of KISS in an released statement.

The new Italian-based restaurant from TV personality and chef, Giada de Laurentiis, inside of The Cromwell is the place to dine at in Vegas. The problem with eating at Giada's is that it's becoming more difficult to get a reservation because of it's immense popularity from locals and visitors alike. Thankfully, though, the powers that be with Giada's will be adding lunch hours beginning July 16. This provides patrons with an additional chance to enjoy this highly-popular eatery.

One of the hottest pool parties in Las Vegas has announced an "action-packed" lineup of some of the best DJs and events to round out the summer season. Wet Republic Ultra Pool, located at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, has a hot list of DJs slated to play through Labor Day Weekend. In addition to a fantastic DJ lineup, August includes the finale of the Hot 100 contest. The sexy contest occurs over the course of the summer with the most beautiful bikini-clad women who hope to be chosen as the summer's hottest female.

It used to be a tourist and local’s favorite pastime: buying a six-pack of beer and heading downtown to people watch under the Fremont Street Experience (FSE) canopy. Now, however, doing so can be a punishable with a very expensive offense based on the recent ordinances that were passed by the Las Vegas City Council. Creators of the Life is Beautiful Festival in Downtown Las Vegas have announced this year's art, music and food lineup for the now three-day cultural event in its second year of operation.

The festival is slated for Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26, “featuring nearly 70 chart-topping acts, dozens of culinary giants, and world-renowned speakers.” The event was created last year as a way to bring growth and further attention to Downtown Vegas as well as the local arts community that is progressively expanding.

If you’re heading to Vegas in the next few weeks and you’re staying at THEhotel or near it, you’re going to find some notable changes including the removal of THEhotel’s signage and some major construction throughout the hotel.

MGM Resorts and Morgan’s Hotel Group are working together to renovate THEhotel into the Delano, which is expected to open September 1.

THEhotel opened in 2003 as a nongaming property attached to Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino with approximately 1,100 rooms.

Vegas is gearing up for an tremendous concert calendar this summer and early this fall with big name headliners like Lady Gaga, Aerosmith and Lorde heading to town.

Whether you want to dance to the likes of London-based Interpol or test your rap skills with some Wu Tang lyrics, Vegas’ concert calendar just got that much better.
