Right in the center of the Las Vegas strip the lights seem brighter. The atmosphere seems more energetic. Las Vegas feels a lot like, well, Las Vegas.

The Flamingo Las Vegas has the bright lights and the action spills out onto the sidewalk. This icon of the Las Vegas strip has been here since the beginning and as it evolves so does Las Vegas. Maybe it's not a high end luxury resort but it still is a great place to stay and your dollar will go a long way.

Do you know the feeling you get when the stress melts away? Have you taken that deep breath in a sauna and felt the pain of your daily responsibilities disappear? I get that at Green Valley Ranch. The spa has that soothing effect on me but the hotel does as well. Comfortable with a touch of subdued luxury and all the little things that make a getaway special is the best way to describe Green Valley ranch.

Is it wrong that I want to pretend I’m a rock star? You can do it. You can stroll through the lobby and feel like the party is about to break out and you’ve learned how to handle the groupies. The Hard Rock Hotel has a reputation to uphold and you can be sure to add to the legend. However, I should add that with a few tips you can have the rock star atmosphere and plenty of that rest and relaxation that you might be seeking. You should walk around and look at the memorabilia on the walls.

Don’t judge me because I really enjoy the Barbie Suite. There is something about the pink pillows that makes everything better for me. Do judge me when I tell you that I almost missed my son’s birthday party because the Kingpin Suite had a hold on me and my lack of ability to pick up the 7 – 10 split. Be careful, the Palms Casino Resort can and will distract you into believing that Las Vegas is one non-stop party. However, there is a little something different at the Palms that you don’t find on the strip. There is a local flare. It’s hard to pinpoint but it feels more personal.

If you had to getaway from your getaway this is where you would go. Imagine saving yourself from yourself and then you can imagine what Red Rock does for you. I need the sun, the action and I need the food in Las Vegas but I don’t always need all the crowds or the traffic or the prices. I can almost have my cake and eat it too. That is the draw at Red Rock Casino because you can just about have your perfect Las Vegas vacation with out having the little things that bother you about Las Vegas around.

I have a tendency to really go on about places that make me feel special. I just like that when I travel. I like the idea that somebody really appreciates my business enough to treat me with a little more kindness. To be a bit more attentive. To acknowledge that I am a valued customer. You get that The Signature at MGM. You pull up to the front door and someone greets you. The front desk is ready to handle your every request. They seem to care. What a novel idea for a hotel, right?

It’s not that I have to soak in a tub while looking out at the Las Vegas strip with a glass of champagne in my hand and a roaring fire in the fireplace. I don’t really need the big screen televisions in each room. Frankly, I don’t need the comfortable couch that beckons me to linger in the room longer than I should. When I’m in Las Vegas I don’t really need any of that. However, I just like to have options and when that option means I get to choose to relax in style I’m pretty happy about it. Another option? The Palms Casino Resort is a quick skytube walk away.

Do you remember the first time you took a flight alone? Do you remember feeling all grown up? Trump Las Vegas makes you feel grown up. As if you have arrived. The moment you drive up you get a feel for the customer service. I love to feel important and while I really enjoy the spacious rooms I am more impressed by the customer service. Trump Las Vegas is the spot where you are close enough to all of the Vegas action to have fun but removed from it enough to also relax. There is no casino and that is what makes it special.

There is so much happening at Bellagio Las Vegas that you might be shocked at how little time you have spent here in the past. You have to carve out some time because some of the obvious reasons to walk in to Bellagio Las Vegas like the World’s largest Chocolate Fountains or “O” by Cirque du Soleil are dwarfed by the endless selection of quality attractions.

What you don’t realize about the Golden Nugget is that it has changed so much over the years. It’s still the gem of Downtown Las Vegas but take a look around and you’ll ask yourself why you have not found the time to explore it more often. You probably have heard of the pool and the sharks but you might also want to know about the dining options and the modern rooms.
