To Shop Or To Eat In Las Vegas

There is a very good chance that you might find yourself deep in the chaos that is a shopping adventure in Las Vegas. It is almost inevitable. The potential for finding a good deal, a hard to find store or to spend a lot of money is quite high considering how many shopping opportunities you have on the Las Vegas strip.

Don’t fight it. Instead, craft your shopping experience around a spot to have a good meal. I love to eat and my wife loves to shop, therefore I make sure we both can be happy. While my wife wanders through a mall for four hours I have a bacon burger and a beer at I Love Burgers at the Grand Canal Shoppes at Palazzo/Venetian.

Easy. Everyone is happy.

In case you don’t want to race into the Palazzo you can always head to Town Square and do the exact same thing for a fraction of the cost. Are you still with me?

As you race around Town Square looking for that perfect outfit, gift or overpriced designer t-shirt know full well that you will soon be completely content with a reasonably priced meal that will make the entire family happy. All the bitterness and grumpiness that surrounds seeking out great deals melts away with a large shake, some fries and a burger.

My wife soon forgets that I have abandoned her when she has the Tuscan Kale Salad. She stops talking and forgets about the expensive sweater she needs to have as she crunches on the toasted pine nuts and licks the citrus vinaigrette off of her lips. That look she gives me almost makes me want to buy her that sweater that she'll wear once a year yet costs more than I make in a week.

My kids no longer have to have the useless, remote controlled battleship when they realize that they can have their own triple chocolate shake. It's so quiet as they tackle the giant sugary treat I begin to miss their bickering.

I am allowed to sit with my monster of a burger, The I Love Bacon burger with its crispy bacon and smoked gouda on top of a savory blend of ground brisket and apple-wood smoked bacon. The bacon mayo is a bonus and the soft bread lightly curls around my fingers as I raise it to my mouth. I might have a craft brew with my burger or an enormous shake but either way I’ll survive a day of shopping in Las Vegas by simply indulging in a very good meal.

We do what we have to do, and shopping is a lot better when I can squeeze in a burger as a diversion.

I Love Burgers have two locations. One in the Palazzo Shoppes and another in Town Square Mall. While the menus are almost identical you’ll notice a couple of things that are missing from either menu or you’ll notice that the price points are significantly lower in Town Square. The atmosphere is similar but I would say that both are family friendly and both give you a fantastic bargain.

More importantly, the burgers, shakes and fries bring the family together under what would otherwise be a more tense situation. Always choose food over shopping, it makes everyone feel better.
