5 Misconceptions About Bottle Service

Sometimes the finer things in life get a bad rap. Even if you've had bottle service before and think you know the drill, this is where we stand on these 5 misconceptions about getting bottle service in a nightclub.

1. Bottle Service will get you women

We covered this in our blog "5 Myths About Vegas Nightclubs" and I can already hear you saying cockily, “I beg to differ!” based on your past experience. This is a fuzzy myth because it’s never going to be an all-encompassing rule, and hopefully it will be broken. Ordering bottles to your table is a surefire way to have an awesome time and members of the opposite sex will definitely come your way. What we want to do is warn you of the ever-present “bottle rat” or “bottle safari” expedition member. See those random, beautiful women wandering through the club (in our mental projection of this scenario)? They might be tourists, they might not be. Here – take this magnum bottle of Grey Goose! See that girl now walking towards you, undressing you with her eyes? Sitting on your lap? Giggling into your drinks? Yup – that’s the one! Once the river of vodka runs dry at your table and there’s no sign of you ordering another bottle, she might “have to run to the restroom real quick.” Aaaaaaand she’s gone forever. That’s a bottle rat.

2. Bottles are overpriced

There's no doubt that you can get a bottle of Grey Goose cheaper at your local liquor store than inside one of your favorite nightclubs. It's often the most frequent complaint of non-bottle service customers, and understandably so. What those inflated bottle prices are actually covering is the real estate of your table, its atmosphere and the labor. The reason bottle prices at the club range upwards of $500 is because that's the premium for your VIP status. If everyone had the option of paying retail costs of a bottle and getting the table service along with it, those table reservations would become a bloody battle royale for the quickest customer, and the hosts would eventually turn against each other when vying for the most profitable group. By raising the bar, the clubs are essentially ensuring that bottle service clients are committed for a great night and know the nightlife drill. So we're not disagreeing that bottles are expensive at the club, but hopefully this explains the sticker shock you might have. When you're feeling down for a crazy night and have the buddies to split the bill - let's gear up for a table. When you're feeling angst against the club's bottle price, settle for the Grey Goose from the grocery store and pop on some Netflix at home.

3. Table service means you have to stay put

Quite the contrary! When you've got that home base squared away, you've got the flexibility to roam the club's space, check out the patio, and become your best Dora The Dance Floor Explorer. This doesn't mean you can just leave all your purses and stuff behind (because if it gets stolen it is most definitely your fault), and don't all leave at once to make your poor cocktail server wonder if you're "drinking & dashing."

4. Your server is your slave

Speaking of that kind and beautiful woman pouring your libations - please don't treat her like the help. Or worse - like you have the right to touch her or make her uncomfortable. This is her job, and she's likely going to be good at it if you let her. You'll know she's good if she's smiling, friendly, and you never have to pour your own cocktail. You'll know she's great if you never notice your empty cup in your hand until she's already replacing it with a full one, plays wing-woman when you need it, and can discretely complete your bottle transactions with you amidst the festivities. (Unless, of course, the payment has already been settled like we describe below!)

5. It's hard & complicated to make table reservations

Oh, you! Don't you know we live in a digital age? While the clubs themselves may be limited to text-based hosts, there are newer and more technologically advanced popping up, much like we have here at Galavantier. Bottle service quotes can be obtained after simply filling out a request form (for FREE!) after picking your preferred city & club or pool party, and then a VIP Nightlife Concierge will call or email you with your requested information. The best part is when you're ready to pay, you can easily put down a partial deposit online or even use our proprietary Split The Bill technology, where you can send your crew a payment link for their portion. No more messing with taxes, gratuity, promises-not-kept and expectations not delivered. Thank the digital gods.
